Bill took early retirement after 27 years in the Semiconductor Group of Texas Instruments (TI). He worked in semiconductor market analysis/intelligence for 23 years at TI. His responsibilities at TI included semiconductor market forecasting and analysis of economic trends, electronic equipment markets, semiconductor device markets, and competitors. At the time of his retirement, Bill was Manager of Market Intelligence in TI’s Worldwide Sales and Marketing organization.
Bill has been active in semiconductor industry statistics organizations. He was the TI representative to Worldwide Semiconductor Market Statistics (WSTS) for 13 years. He served on the board of directors of WSTS and was Chairman of the Americas Chapter from 1999 to 2003 and World chairman from 2003 to 2005. He was a founding executive committee member of Semiconductor Industry Capacity Statistics (SICAS) from 1995 to 1997. Bill was a member of Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) from 1993 to 2007.
Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (with highest honors) from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA (with highest honors) from the University of Houston. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
