Codasip was founded on a simple belief – that we could bring together the brilliance of microprocessor architects and software engineers and capture it in tools that made design simpler, faster, and less expensive. Codasip was born in 2014 with the mission of democratising processor design. We are succeeding. At the same time RISC-V was gaining traction, so it was natural for Codasip to embrace it as an Open Instruction Set Architecture.

Whilst based in Europe, with our HQ in Germany and major offices in Czech and the UK our approach and culture is more typical of Silicon Valley, valuing prudent risk taking and “out of the box” thinking. We are a well-funded start-up poised for dynamic growth based on our leading-edge product portfolio.

We are looking for someone seasoned and passionate to be our Director/VP of Business Development, joining our US team but working worldwide. Together with Codasip’s products and RISC-V, you’ll be part of realizing a whole new paradigm in semiconductors and microprocessor design.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead cross-functional efforts to develop and drive new business opportunities with customers and prospects in the global market.
  • Establish and manage customers and internal expectations to enable successful project execution
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to identify and pursue unique opportunities and drive them to closure while creating a repeatable sales process along the way.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to identify and specify key products and features to continue to unlock the potential of the Codasip products, including additional target markets and verticals
  • Act as a technical leader in the field of processor design and be able to develop and lead customer informational sessions while partnering with applications engineering.
  • Drive proper scoping, proposal, and statement of work development to win projects


What we need:

  • Extensive experience in a senior business development or related position, with a solid track record of utilising industry and market knowledge to develop meaningful business relationships with customers and partners
  • A deep understanding of processor and hardware design, understanding technical details and can discuss these details with customer and internal experts.
  • Has innovative mindset that can formulate new solutions or direction and is able to clearly communicate and motivate others to support new ideas
  • Strong demonstrated written and presentation skills in internal and external presentations including executive level
  • The ability to own or contribute to development of marketing collateral suitable for pre-sales use as well as customer success stories
  • Willingness to travel on occasion for short periods of time, and occasionally work on-site at customer premises as required (as global situations permit).

The base range for this position is $150,000 – $250,000, plus additional benefits. This salary range covers multiple levels. Level offered is determined by the interview process and will take into account; location, interview performance, applicable skillset and relevant previous work.
