General info

We are looking for an System Engineer/ Software architect for EDA development to join our Codasip Labs team. The candidate will work on commercial prototypes aligned with the scope of the TRISTAN project. TRISTAN is co-funded project by the European Commission and is part of the KDT JU framework. The project is focused on the R&D of the next generation of EDA tools for the design of RISC-V processors targeting a wide set of applications such as AI, mobile communication, and automotive power control. The TRISTAN project starts in Q1/2023.

Main responsibilities

    • Innovate, develop, integrate, and evaluate the next generation of our EDA tool (Codasip Studio) that will provide better system descriptions and performance evaluations that will help customers with the architecture design exploration process.
    • Design mockups and/or proof-of-concept prototypes of the next-generation EDA design tools.
    • Collaborate with internal (Labs, FAE, Sales) and external (customers, partners, suppliers, academic) stakeholders.
    • Ensure on-time delivery of the Codasip contributions to project review meetings and deliverables, and jointly write scientific papers.

Qualifications

    • Over 5 years of recent and relevant experience in microelectronics design tools and software architectures.
    • MSc or higher academic degree in Computer Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
    • SW skills: C++/ Java and Eclipse experience are desirable.
    • Good understanding of IP and SoC design tools and verification flows and their limitations. Previous experience with RISC-V is desirable.
    • Experience with customer-facing activities and European co-funded projects is appreciated.
    • Fluent written and spoken English and German are essential.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, thinking outside of the box.
    • Excellent communication skills, pragmatic, proactive, self-motivated, team player.
