Summary of Role:

The Global Manufacturing Operations Excellence team is looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer. As a Senior Member of the Technical Staff in Industrial Engineer, you’ll collaborate across GlobalFoundries sites with members of the Industrial Engineering departments, Product Integration and Program Management teams to drive high-impact decisions on business-critical initiatives. This position will be located in our Malta, NY location. Clear communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead global cross-functional teams to drive alignment and standardization on key IE areas such as capacity planning methods and inputs, cycle time measurements, TCT and UPH calculations.
  • Understand key product build trade-offs to maximize global productivity and footprint optimization across all of our Fabs
  • Drive improvements to the global capacity planning systems and processes
  • Support New Product and Customer Capacity and Capex Analysis
  • Create effective dashboard layouts for Global Industrial Engineering capacity metrics
  • Prepare and present data for executive-level presentations

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Science discipline
  • Minimum 10 years relevant technical experience for a high-volume manufacturing company, preferably semiconductor wafer manufacturing
  • Comprehensive understanding of Capacity Planning Systems and methods to calculate fab capacity
  • Knowledge of Factory Physics and Principles
  • Solid oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
  • Travel Requirements:  10% of Travel
  • Language Fluency:  English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Proficient with Power Bi
  • Knowledge of Factory Physics and Principles
  • Experience in a Wafer Fab or High Volume Manufacturing Facility
  • Knowledge of or training in Capacity Planning
  • Lean six sigma certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
