As a Silicon Validation Engineer working in a lab environment, you will be taking care of product qualification and compliance of different electrical standards and protocol specifications. You will be part of an R&D team developing high-speed, mixed-signal IP designs. We are looking for a seasoned engineer with theoretical knowledge and practical experience to contribute to the silicon validation lab team. Our R&D test lab contains high-speed test equipment such as: Bit Error Rate Testers, Real Time Oscilloscopes, Sampling Scopes, Vector Network Analyzers and Time Domain Reflectometers.
Duties:
- Work with a cross functional design team of analog designers, systems designers, application engineers, and customers to resolve problems and demonstrate product performance;
- Examine circuit behavior and its limitations in a characterization and/or silicon validation environment;
- Test the product against target standards and specifications.
- Research and specify test equipment and components to support defined test plans and methodologies.
- Creating test reports;
- Developing test boards and hardware solutions to support product validation;
- Debug of electronic circuits; investigate product non-conformance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience (post-silicon validation, lab instrumentation, characterization and debug).
- Master degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Passionate to work in a lab environment.
- Solid Analog and Mixed-Signal circuit knowledge.
- Software programming proficiency.
- Expertise and experience programming with MATLAB and/or Python.
- Debugging/troubleshooting skills.
Other assets include:
- Test and debug background of PAM-4 signaling type.
- Experience with IC Test and Validation of Mixed Signal, ADC/DAC and SerDes test circuits
- PCB design knowledge.
- Signal Integrity/Power Integrity knowledge.
- Experience with tools for schematic entry, and SPICE simulation.
- Data review, data mining.
