The Senior Revenue Analyst position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate recording of all revenue-related transactions in accordance with GAAP.  This position will have a strong knowledge of revenue recognition in ASC 606 and will report to the Director of Revenue. In addition, this candidate has opportunity to work under the SEC reporting team during quarter and year-end filings to facilitate SEC filings on a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with various process owners to obtain supporting documents for revenue transactions
  • Document contract terms and conditions; prepare and maintain revenue waterfall schedule
  • Prepare and maintain commission amortization schedule
  • Responsible for the monthly and quarterly close processes for revenue, deferred revenue and commission related accounts including the preparation of journal entries and monthly account reconciliations
  • Provide analytical revenue and deferred revenue reports including ad hoc analyses
  • Assist in system implementation and automation
  • Maintain SOX compliance for revenue and financial reporting related controls
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits and ensure audit schedules and disclosure-related schedules are prepared in a timely manner
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned due to fast growing environment including supporting the SEC reporting team

Qualifications:

  •  Detail orientated with excellent analytical skills and interested in identifying and fixing problems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills are required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a change agent for implementing new ideas and process improvements
  • Ability to effectively work cross functionally with all levels of the company

Education and/or Experience:

  •  BA or BS in finance/accounting. CPA strongly desired
  • 3-5 years of general accounting or public accounting experience is required with an emphasis in revenue accounting.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP, practical experience/knowledge of ASC 606 strongly desired
  • Systems knowledge and experience with systems implementations a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, with a propensity for understanding and using internal financial systems. NetSuite experience a plus
  • Experience in a fast changing, high paced company. Preferably with a US based multi-national company
