Senior Product Manager, ANSYS Workbench

ANSYS has unmatched depth and breadth of multi-physics portfolio in the industry and we have an exciting PM opportunity within the fast-paced platform team focused on ANSYS Workbench and platform infrastructure.  This is a unique opportunity to participate in the future of simulation working closely with our Physics Business Units and customers as we expand the platform portfolio to enable next generation Multiphysics practices. The PM participates in the entire product cycle, working closely with development, sales, and support. Our ideal Product Manager concisely communicates complex concept and above all obsesses over delighting ANSYS customers with awesome solutions to their Multiphysics workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with internal and external customers, partners, defines product specifications and requirements leveraging an understanding of the critical needs around ANSYS Workbench and overall platform architecture
• As the hands-on technical domain expert with ANSYS workbench, evaluates and prioritizes requests for product changes, enhancements, new product features, design flows.
• Adept at project management, brings a keen eye for attention to detail and overall user experience, participates in the entire development cycle of the product, working closely with the development, UX, testing, and documentation teams on execution
• Works closely with support and services team to ensure successful evaluation and adoption of our products while keeping an eye for continuous improvements.
• Works closely with the larger platform teams to ensure synergies with the overall plans and drives alignment with other product owners across the company. Creates working script/code samples, manages the needs and priorities for API integrations, pipeline and documentation.
• Assist marketing with technical white papers, application notes, conference/journal proceedings, product positioning presentations, and webinars
• Evangelizes the solution internally and externally; Delivers working examples for various use cases, maintains close relationships with internal/external customers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in science or engineering
• 10 years of combined working experience with CAD, CAE software or Multidisciplinary optimization tools.
• Programming or scripting expertise is required. Experience with APIs would be a plus
• Working knowledge of CAE software, Project/Consulting experience including but not limited to customer process mapping with CAD, meshing model set up, process automation is strongly desired. Deep understanding of the inner workings of ANSYS workbench at the code level would be a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• This position requires a moderate amount of travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated experience/deep application knowledge for ANSYS Workbench solutions at the intersection of user problems such as CAD, meshing and Multiphysics set up processes would be a huge plus
• Strong hands on development skills around process automation for pre/processing, system coupling or other is desired.
• Experience with Agile development or SAFE
