Senior Embedded Software Engineer

For our growing business we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer who shows enthusiasm in new technical solutions.

Our situation

We are gearing up to serve a growing number of customers in an early-stage market for TSN Ethernet solutions (Time Sensitive Networking) and transforming Comcores to also scale the ability to providing full solutions in the TSN and 5G market. Comcores continue providing IP cores for custom ASICs.
We are privileged that our unique IP cores and solutions are well recognized by leading OEM players like for example Intel, Xilinx, Analog Devices, Samsung and Fujisoft as our partners.

Position Content & Responsibilities

Comcores is looking for a motivated and skilled colleague to fill a role as Senior Embedded Software Engineer in the Packaged IP solutions team.

You will hold a key position in the team, that develops high performance Ethernet switches, IEEE1588 time synchronization and wireless 5G solutions. You will be working closely with your colleagues in the SW group as well as ASIC/FPGA designers.

You will be involved in the full process from idea, architecture, implementation to testing and applying your skills to ensure a unique and robust experience for our customers.

Your main tasks

• Design and developing Linux drivers for Comcores IP cores and solutions
• Develop and customizing board support packages (BSP)
• Create Interfaces to FPGAs
• Create script-based test environment for both unit and system level test
• Assist in partner integration and customer support
• Participate in development projects ranging from small tasks of a few days to projects with multiple SW developers in many months

Your Background

• Master or BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Network Technology or equivalent
• More than 5 years of working experience as a software developer
• Proven experience with Linux kernel
• C/C++ development skills
• Embedded development experience and debugging
• Knowledge about computer networking technologies is an advantage
• Knowledge of Time synchronized Ethernet solutions is an advantage
• Knowledge of embedded Arm in Xilinx Zync FPGAs and Peta Linux is an advantage
• Personally, you are focused, systematic and solution-oriented person that manage to transform your skills into action
• You feel motivated by being the best within your field and like to work with the newest technologies
