Quality Assurance Engineer

Cadence is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to join our team, which develops applications for Cadence customers and employees worldwide.

You will be working on a dynamically developing product for the emerging Cadence business as a manual tester for business applications.

Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

Type: Hybrid

Must-Have:

• At least 2 years of working as a software QA Engineer where you developed automation scripts using tool like Katalon, Selenium
• Must have worked on bug-tracking systems (Jira)
• 2 to 4 years of experience of web-app end-to-end in manual testing
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL, XML, and HTTP/REST clients

Job Responsibilities:

• Build and execute manual tests for new features by creating Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Test cases under the guidance of a business system analyst.
• Learn the functional modules
• Perform smoke and regression testing, create, and execute test cases and checklists.
• Document detailed testing steps, test data, and all possible artifacts for tracking bugs and reports.
• Perform tests and produce reports based on Management priorities and issue escalation.
• Maintain master test suite.
• Must be able to work in Microsoft Tools (Presentation, Word, Excel)

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong desire to learn enterprise software and workflow application testing
• Excellent data verification skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Collaborate well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Computer, Information technology or related major
• Experience with scripting (Java /Python, Bash)
• Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment

The annual salary range for California is $58,000 to $109,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits.  Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
