Job Summary:

Quality Assurance Engineer plays important role to maintain quality and reliability of Altair Simulation products. In this role you will be responsible for the testing and evaluation of various functionalities of HyperWorks products (Such as HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperGraph, HWCFD, HWNVH etc) before their release to market. The functionality includes FE model creation, Analysis setup, model editing, solver execution and post-processing. QA Engineer will collaborate with professionals in software product development team, providing feedback on functionality, usability, and performance during the release cycle.

What You Will Do:

  • Work in Agile QA environment to apply QA practices for commercial release of HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperGraph and industry solutions in HyperWorks.
  • Evaluate, develop and implement test procedure for new features in products.
  • Create quality plans, use case documents, review and finalize them help of program managers.
  • Work on functionality, usability, and performance of new features in HyperWorks.
  • Create, maintain and report of use cases execution.
  • Review and maintain current suite of automated tests. Write new automated scripts for product features.
  • Research, Report, resolve and validate product issues discovered by QA, Field or customer
  • Review documents and tutorials for Altair Simulation Products.

What You Will Need:

Basics:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering or similar.
  • 2 years’ experience in engineering simulation software environment

Preferred:

  • Work or project experience should have,
    • Experience with CAE/FEA pre and post processing products like Altair’s HyperMesh, ANSA, Abaqus CAE, or similar products.
    • Experience with Linear and non-linear FEA solvers like Altair’s Radioss, Optistruct or Nastran, Abaqus or similar products.
    • Experience with Microsoft office products like Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Exposure/experience with coding/scripting using tcl/tk, Python, or similar language.
  • Ability to estimate and plan the work.
  • Good communication skills, Attention to details
  • Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically located team members.
