Principal Performance Modeling Engineer with Arteris Inc. dba Arteris IP (Austin, TX)

Job Description: Create and validate performance models for customizable interconnect IP. Microarchitecture exploration, performance modeling, and analysis for programmable and scalable interconnect designs. Improve and enhance performance using understanding of design architecture. Develop tools and methodologies for performance analysis. Collaborate in benchmarking, workload selection, competitive analysis, bottleneck identification, and optimization. Communicate, propose, and implement solutions to performance issues.

Requirements:  Requires Bachelor’s OR Master’s in Computer, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field. Requires progressive post-bachelor’s experience (10 years with Bachelor’s OR 8 years with Master’s) which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Performance modeling; functional modeling; Programming in C++, Python, scripting languages; SoC architecture; ARM architectures and interfaces; CPU and cache coherency architectures; Object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and debugging; and Knowledge of Unix-like operating systems.
