Powertrain Project Manager

Job Summary:

Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is looking for a Powertrain Project Manager. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

Main mission:

On the perimeter Project Cost management on Core and Integration programs for Propulsion Engineering:

• The Program Costs Control Analyst is responsible for a Program perimeter and Projects linked, he/she provides to the Project the best lighting of the Program and Projects Costs (cash expenses), organizes economic convergence to targets on his perimeter and request arbitrations if needed.

Main activities:

On Project perimeter, manage the development cost (expenses ER&D and investment) of the project.

• To ensure the consistency between the Project scope and Targets.
• To build and update Forecasts for development costs.
• To ensure monthly monitoring.
• To identify gaps between planned and actual.
• To analyze causes of the gaps.
• When necessary, collect information from the PRS Team & Functions and develop recovery plans related to development cost  to achieve the budget objectives.
• To  verify  the  overcoming  of  project  milestones  &  gate  review  according  to Product & Process Development Plan.
• Give the status of the project when needed ( project review, milestone…).
• To  collect,  together  with  Project,  all  Lesson  Learned  related  to development cost issues.

Basics:

• Bachelor of Business Administration from an ABET accredited University or equivalent.
• Data Analysis and Consolidation: Construction of Analysis tools and reporting to manage the perimeter and provide accurate analysis.
• 2+ years of experience with Engineering Innovation programs ER&D roll-up process- SAP System.
• Highly motivated cross functional team player with strong problem-solving skills Strong sense of urgency and dedication to customer experience.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge in G Suites (Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• Skills in expenses and investment management on industrial perimeter.
• Automotive knowledge : ICE powertrain, ePowertrain, battery.
• Knowledge in SAP system.
