Overview
- Pragmatic are seeking an Office Administrator to provide administrative support to all team members at the company’s offices in Sedgefield, Durham and Cambridge (remotely), when needed, and to ensure smooth, day-to-day running of the office.
Key tasks
Key responsibilities will include general front of house/office admin tasks such as:
- Meeting and greeting
- Fielding phone calls
- Processing post, deliveries and GRN where applicable, working with couriers and logistics
- Organising refreshments (tea/coffee, sandwich lunches, company lunches)
- Assist organising events
- Support facilities management and first point of contact for facilities issues
- Keeping office and kitchen clean and tidy, and liaise with the office cleaner
- Ordering stationery and supplies
- Booking travel and accommodation for staff where required
- Managing the meeting room booking and attendance systems
- Holiday/sick cover for Cambridge Office Administrator
- Raising purchase orders from specific purchases requests and credit card purchases where applicable, and support the vendor creation process
- Other administrative tasks and data processing where required, such as expenses
Qualifications and training
- GCSE English and Maths
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Experience working with IFS would be an advantage
- Good English (verbal and written)
Skills and experience
- Previous reception/office admin experience
- Good telephone manner, taking calls and messages, being a gatekeeper and dealing with suppliers
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to rearrange priorities to meet business needs
- Able to handle confidential information appropriately
- Organised
- Detail orientated, problem solving, not easily flustered and multi-tasking
- People / Customer orientated
- Happy to undertake mundane tasks (cleaning, filing) with a positive attitude
- Knowing when to escalate problems and when to ask for help
