Responsibilities
Manufacturing Engineer – Process Engineer
Keysight Technologies has been an integral partner in the Lithography industry for decades. Our measurement devises and interferometers are key enablers for our continued journey of realizing Moore’s law into the Extreme Ultraviolet regime. Keysight’s campus in Santa Clara, CA exists to provide pico-meter solutions that enable the capabilities of EUV Lithography throughout the world.
As a manufacturing process engineer, you will develop and sustain manufacturing processes. You will work in close partnership with the R&D and Operations to push the envelopes of technology. You will support ultra-precision optical fabrication operations, with investigations and optimizations of tooling, machining process, and process flow to optimize performance. Duties include continuous process improvement, process analysis, process tooling design input, troubleshooting process issues, Root cause analysis, process documentation creation.
Keysight is looking for an individual who is self-motivated, analytical, organized, detail oriented and assertive. This position requires that you drive our production improvement initiatives, with focus on quality. While not having management responsibility, it is expected for the placement to display professional behavior. You must also be a team player who enjoys working in a multi-cultural fast paced environment.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, or Engineering, or applicable science, 4-5+ years of applicable experience in (optical manufacturing processes). This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, engineering theory, and a hands-on approach to manufacturing.
- Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in and/or lead diverse cross-functional teams
- Strong process development knowledge
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize day to day activities balancing immediate needs with long term project goals
- Experience in process improvement
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA or other quality tools
Experience with any/all the following is highly desired:
- Master’s or PhD degree
- Optical fabrication:
- Shaping (CNC, Blanchard, etc.)
- Grinding
- polishing (CP, over-arm, double-sided)
- Small tool polishing
- Familiarity to Metrology tools (Optical CMM, Surface Profilometer, Interferometry)
