Lead Software Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented developer specialist of Finite Element Method (FEM), with a proven experience developing commercial software, to join Altair development team. You’ll bring your expertise and leadership to accelerate the development of our leading structural solvers, including Radioss  and OptiStruct. Ideally, your past experience is focused on the development of an explicit analysis solution and you are a top expert of contact mechanics and/or element technology. You will have the chance to join a multicultural team of international developers & experts of FEM, with real career evolution opportunities.

What You Will Do:

  • Actively contribute to software core developments,  taking leadership on contact and/or element formulation enhancements and innovations
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to shape overall code architecture
  • Participate to software maintenance and documentation

What You Will Need:

Basics:

  • PhD or Master degree in computational mechanics
  • 10+ years of experience developing in a commercial FEA software
  • Leadership skills creating a positive, innovative, and productive collaborative team
  • Programming skills: Fortran90; C++, Python appreciated
  • Fluent in English; French appreciate
  • Position open worldwide

Preferred:

  • Expert of contact mechanics and/or element formulation & fracture mechanics under explicit time integration scheme
  • Some knowledge on code parallelization: MPI, OpenMP
  • Program management tools: Git, JIRA & Agile method
