  • Need a senior Android Developer with experience in working with HW devices (such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UART-based sensor, or Autonomous Robots).
  • The engineer will design, and architect a new Android application to communicate on a serial port with an HW device.
  • He should be familiar with working with asynchronous communications with HW devices and be able to architect, integrate and design flows to handle events emitted by the HW device and act on them. He should be familiar with extending vendor-provided Java libraries.
  • The engineer should be fluent in working with REST APIs and Cloud-based services from AWS, Azure or other CSP. Must have designed or architected an Android application from the ground up.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Android-based mobile and tablet application development.
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • RESTful web services and parsing JSON/XML.
  • Sound hands-on experience with tools like Android Studio, Eclipse, GIT, GitHub.
  • Integrated Android application with services provided by cloud service providers like AWS or Azure
  • Experience in integration with HW devices (such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, any UART-based sensor, or Autonomous Robots).
  • Readiness to work in a global team with contributors from different backgrounds, skills, and locations.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Creating tests for code to ensure robustness and performance.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience and desire to work with Agile software development paradigm in a fast-paced, iterative, and multi-functional environment.
  • Familiarity working with AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) and software such as Coverage Path Planning will be a plus.
