Join the Ansys Student Internship Program to apply your education to solve real world engineering problems, advance career skills and experience work at Ansys. The student intern (m/f/d) will be part of the Ansys optiSLang team and will work together with the team to develop advanced DevOps features for the optiSLang flagship product. The student intern will get an opportunity to experience how continuous integration and continuous delivery is done in optiSLang’s multifaceted Process Integration and Design Optimization environment. The student intern will also get to experience of how DevOps principles apply in an engineering discipline to simulate physics for next generation products. The minimum duration for the student internship program is 6 months.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Development and maintenance of Dockerfiles
  • Development and maintenance of conan package recipes
  • Assist in the testing, validation, and deployment of optiSLang PIDO tool
  • Documentation of DevOps processes

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Studying towards a Master’s or PhD´s degree in Computer Science or related technical field and should be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program
  • Ready to work at the advertised location without requiring relocation or housing assistance by Ansys
  • Experience in Python programming
  • Experience in scripting with Linux bash and Microsoft powershell
  • Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills
  • Team player, responsible, and motivated
  • Authorized to work in Austria

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiar with building/testing pipeline development (ADO, github actions, Jenkins)
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with build systems (CMake, Bjam, Bazel)
  • Docker management (creation, maintenance, and deployment)
  • Familiar with conan C++ package management
  • Familiar with Kubernetes orchestration
  • Knowledge of software testing basics (i.e., unit testing, blackbox testing, etc.)
  • Understanding the entire development process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance

Remuneration

Salary according to collective bargaining agreement for student interns of at least EUR 1,483.00 gross monthly. Depending on internship, qualification, and professional experience.
