Hardware Designer (MicroInverter)

Brief Work details/ SoW:

The requirement is for a hardware designer who can perform design and verification activities for building hardware for Reusable Blocks (like Revenue grade metering, Connectivity etc.) within MBU India Engineering of Enphase. These resources could be used for other programs as well based on program priorities and constraints.

1. We need 8 years+ experienced HW engineers for this service

2. Resources will perform schematics entry, component procurement, PCB layout work and release the design to Arena.

3. Support the PCBA Board build at our Contract manufacturer

4. Post PCBA arrival at our office, they will perform board bring up and DVT activities as per Enphase DVT plan.

5. Support all other activities that are required for design and DVT.

6. Resources are required to work out of the Enphase Bangalore office.

7. Resources are needed for a period of 6 months which may be extended based on the need.

Hardware Development

1. Hands-on designing & developing of advanced hardware systems as required by the system needs

2. Familiar with Product Life Cycle management

3. Familiar with Hardware manufacturing process

4. Works closely with different departments

5. Independent judgment on methods/techniques

6. Mentor/coach other employees

Experience, Education & Skills

1. Bachelors or master’s in electrical & electronics engineering

2. 8+ years hands-on experience in the design & development of hardware components

3. Knowledge and experience in all aspects of hardware design

4. Analog, digital, mixed-signal, discrete, and embedded circuit design

5. Component selection, specification, and sourcing

6. Hands-on model development, prototyping, and debugging

7. Schematic and PCB layout development

8. Experience with development of communication devices like modems

9. Experience in product development within the electronic industry is required

10. Project management, leadership, and multi-tasking skills as well as the ability to work with cross-functional teams

11. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members

12. Developing and executing Board bring up, Test plan and Validation

13. Maintaining released products interacting with Supply chain and Factory

14. Lead a complete HW board design and guide the design team

15. Identify Cost reduction opportunities in the HW
