Hardware Architect – 5G Cellular

As our Senior Hardware Architect you will be part of the leading team in the design of a next generation 5G cellular modem IP. The position is a highly visible role with much responsibility and ability to influence.

Job Responsibilities

• Research, invent and innovate different hardware architectures
• Collaborate with Software and Systems teams and drive the specification of 5G cellular IP components
• Manage the handoff of the specifications to the VLSI design/verification teams
• Be responsible for the hardware IP through its complete product life-cycle
• Identify customer needs, market trends and industry standards
• Perform Power, Performance, Area (PPA) analysis for pre and post sales customer engagements

• BSc. In Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an ASIC design or verification Engineer in complex ASIC IP/Subsystem projects
• Knowledge and experience with high performance SoC architectures including Data/Control path logic, SoC Interconnects, Resets, Clocking, Power Management
• Broad perspective on several disciplines within the VLSI flow (Synthesis, Static Timing Analysis, Design, Verification, DFT etc)
• Meticulous, detailed oriented and willing to invest much effort in perfecting a Hardware Specifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with solving problems at all stages of the product life-cycle

• have experience in designing wireless communications digital IP
• implemented high level models of subsystems using SystemC or C/Matlab/C++
