This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience. As a Government Relations and Policy Intern, you will be responsible for:

Primary responsibilities/projects for our intern would include (and are not limited to):

  • Joining weekly Government Relations team meetings and consultant calls
  • Completing research projects for GR team
  • Shadowing lobbyists on Capitol Hill for Congressional meetings/briefings/fundraisers
  • Supporting the SHS Political Action Committee (PAC) team in PAC organization, event planning, drafting updates to PAC members
  • Attending briefings hosted by Trade Associations

This position may suit you best if you’re familiar with the following and would like to develop your skills with Siemens Healthineers:

  • You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Political Science, Health Policy Management (HPM), Health Policy (minimum rising senior preferred)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)

Start date: Summer 2024
