Process Engineer – CMP

GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 10 is seeking a Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) process engineer for its manufacturing facility in East Fishkill, NY.  This process engineering role develops and improves manufacturing processes used for new and existing products.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensuring excellent quality controls and procedures are in place, documented and well deployed for manufacturing processes.
Supporting the manufacturing line with daily events and in extended tool downs.
Working to continuously improve all areas of process performance, defect levels, speed, efficiency, quality controls, and cost.
Providing technical guidance to process technicians.
Ensuring on-target delivery and cycle time for all products and clients.
Assisting in the development of new technologies, and the transfer of those technologies from development to high-volume manufacturing.

Required Qualifications:

Education:  B.S. degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other related engineering physical science discipline
Experience:  0-2 years of relevant experience
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

Self-motivated, and exhibit a high-level of interest in understanding and solving complex technical problems.
Basic knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing and concepts is a plus.
