Job Description/Responsibilities
- Working directly with customers on designs to improve the FPGA quality of results (QoR)
- Provide pre-sales technical leadership and post-sales, first-level applications support through calls, emails and on-site visits for new and existing customers including resolving customer issues relating to prototyping and post-production support
- Presenting Achronix products to prospective customers
- Training sales personnel on technical details of Achronix products
- New product proposals and definition of new product specification requirements
- Maintaining effective working relationships with key engineering contacts, sales representatives and distributor FAEs
- Attend trade shows and conferences to continue to build the Achronix network and assist the outbound marketing team in ensuring that the Achronix line of products stays in the spotlight
- Work closely with Achronix Systems and Applications Engineering teams to put together technical slide decks to showcase Achronix-based use cases and tailor them appropriately for customer engagements
- Help develop reference/demo designs and other technical collateral like user guides and application notes to highlight and document Achronix technology and ACE tool features for customers
- Travel is required
Required Skills
- Self-motivated, self-starter, proactive, and able to effectively work remotely
- High degree of persistence and discipline
- Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills, ideally in customer-facing roles, with ability to multitask and manage projects
- Solid understanding of FPGA/programmable logic architecture and design flows
- Basic knowledge for navigating a Linux-based system
- Background in back-end (ASIC) implementation methodology, concepts and tools
- Familiarity with IP deliverables including, but not limited to, GDSII, LEF, lib files and CPM
- Knowledge of SoC architectures and expertise in commonly used SerDes and memory interface protocol IPs like PCIe, 400G Ethernet and GDDR6/DDR4/5
- Understanding of hardware acceleration for wireless, data center, HPC and AI applications
- Strong logic design, verification and STA experience
- Verilog expertise; System Verilog and VHDL knowledge is a plus
- High-level synthesis knowledge
- Understanding of embedded processor solutions (ARM, RISC-V, etc.)
- Experience in delivering training and webinars a plus
Education and Experience
- BSEE, BEng or BSc degree
- Ten years’ experience working in an applications, system-level or architect role for IP, ASIC and/or SoC solutions
- Recent and extensive (at least 3 years) hands-on FPGA/ASIC design experience, including development with Verilog/VHDL and common FPGA/ASIC software tools
- Thorough understanding of high performance applications in or across all of the following areas: Networking, Communications, High Performance Computing, DSP, and Test Equipment sectors
- Expertise in high speed SerDes, as well as in high-speed communications I/O protocols: 10/40/100/400 Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Express and GDDR6/DDR4/5 memory interfaces
