Engineer – Infotainment Engineer (Networks)

Job Summary:
Our client in Raymond, Ohio is looking for an Infotainment Engineer (Networks). This is a long-term contract position.
What You Will Do:
- Support development projects currently underway with expertise related to MOST. May include spec information, correlation and testing
- Serve as the Person in Charge (lead engineer) for MOST/CAN gateway
- Coordinate Network requirements, impact and implementation with Global office for assigned projects
- Actively collect and understand the functional (hardware, software & communication) requirements for infotainment system components.
- Develop, write and issue specifications for networks assigned.
- Create and manage any relevant development schedules and maintain an open task list
- Manage any vendors/suppliers to ensure development requirements are satisfied on schedule
- Write all necessary reports, presentations or technical documents to explain and/or make a record of the development activities
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 2-3 years automotive experience preferably with infotainment systems
- Experience in project management (setting & managing schedules, meeting deadlines, directing other groups to achieve development goals, etc.)
- Ability to use common electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, ESD equipment, etc.)
- Experience with CAN, LIN and preferably MOST communication protocols
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware test or vehicle function failures
- Prefer working knowledge in ISO26262 Functional Safety Process
- Ability to function independently on a day-to-day basis
- Good organizational and multitasking skills
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly motivated and takes initiative
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
