COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE PAID SUMMER INTERNSHIP DONE REMOTELY

A paid internship where you will take part in creating study materials for teaching computer architecture through implementation of a RISC-V 5-stage pipeline processor in Codasip Studio. Codasip Studio is used for  development of RISC-V based processors, easily customizable using an integrated toolset including simulation, profiling, debugging, c-compiler generation, and RTL out.

CHALLENGE TO TACKLE

A successful candidate will take an active part in creating teaching resources for an undergraduate class of computer architecture/ computer organization. They will learn a C based programming language CodAL which is a High-Level synthesis language for processor development. Alongside their academic supervisor Keith Graham, they will design, test and debug assignments for the computer architecture curriculum. The candidate will storyboard videos to act as supportive material for the class and define and create application notes.

At the end of the internship, you will have:

  • Helped create assignments for computer architecture curriculum
  • Helped storyboard videos to support the curriculum
  • Defined and created application notes
  • Worked with RISK V processor design environment Codasip Studio

  • Good programming skills
  • Good C programming skills
  • Debugging skills
  • Undergraduate student
  • Completed an Undergraduate Computer Architecture or Organization course
  • Spoken and written English is a must
  • Active interest in the field
  • + Good C++ programming skills
  • + FPGA with Verilog or system Verilog
  • + Embedded programming
