Overview

Pragmatic is seeking an exceptional Business Development Manager as part of continued growth and RFID expansion. Reporting to the RFID Commercial Director, this is a “new business” relationship role, with the responsibility of presenting a new innovative product to the RFID focused channel community. The role will be based in Asia and will be responsible for representing Pragmatic across the region, presenting our business and technology in order to sell our NFC products to channel and end users. The position will ideally suit someone looking to progress from a channel account management role into a senior BDM position with a strategic vision.

Key tasks

  • Promote Pragmatic across the RFID focused channel, including system integrators, solutions providers, ISVs and end users
  • Actively seek new engagements for Pragmatic across the channel community throughout Asia
  • Work closely with assembly partners “salespeople” to help support and drive demand for NFC products powered by Pragmatic
  • Develop, grow and maintain all newly established channel relationships, forming strong relationships
  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities which will secure quarterly revenue targets and support key KPIs for Pragmatic
  • Conduct presentations, either face to face or through video conferencing
  • Provide regular updates on progress, industry insights, market trends, competitive news, and relevant industry information
  • Support trade shows and events to promote the Pragmatic brand to secure new enquiries for revenue success
  • Manage incoming sales leads and prospects for our NFC products
  • Respond, review, and identify revenue opportunities, in turn maximising revenue output
  • Collaborate effectively within the commercial team
  • Build strong internal relationships across the Pragmatic team, becoming a key contributor to the business to enable personal long-term growth

Skills and experience

  • Proven track record of sales success, with a history of sales growth within a previous role
  • Experienced in selling solutions, with a desire to learn about the RFID industry and our NFC technology if new to the NFC industry
  • Ability to build and manage a pipeline of opportunities
  • Ability to operate at a senior level within the channel community
  • Strong communication skills
  • A confident, creative thinker
  • Highly motivated and driven
  • Effective planning and organisation skills
  • RFID / NFC Market understanding would be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and be a team player
