Applications Specialist – SAP PLM

Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is looking for an Applications Specialist – SAP PLM. This is a Direct Hire position.

What You Will Do:

• This position will be responsible for assisting in design and customization of software solutions for corporate wide implementation and adaptation of PLM and Program Management (PPM) using SAP.  You will collaborate with a third-party integrator for customization using RDS.  You will interact with Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Corporate, manufacturing plants (globally) and external suppliers. You will assist in supporting our Lead system administrator and contribute to the analysis, design, development, global deployment, and ongoing technical support of our Product Lifecycle Management processes, engineering tools and Program Management processes.
• Perform end-to-end business process analysis and design incl. troubleshooting, requirements gathering, gap analysis
• Manage, monitor and report on multiple concurrent projects
• Provide Level 1 user support for SAP workflow and CAD data management issue
• Perform SAP Basis support incl. designing security concepts and licensing
• Development of system tests, procedures, and training documentation
• Consult and assist with SAP ERP system interface
• Assist with implementation and customization of application and user interface design
• Development of new reports/queries and customization of existing reports
• Collaborate with IT and Engineering groups for process improvement & problem resolution
• Travel as necessary

What You Will Need:

Basics:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
• Knowledge of automotive business, PLM, PPM, ERP, web and database servers
• 3 – 5 years of Experience with SAP PLM / Engineering Control Center (ECTR) / Enterprise Connector (EnCo)
• 1 – 3 years of SAP Basis Support incl. Security Concepts and Licensing
• Experience with SAP Installation Server and SAP Solution Manager
• Programming experience with SAP ABAP and working experience with databases
• Experience with CATIA CATScript or NX journaling.
• Programming experience with at least one of: Windows Batch or Linux Scripting, VBA, Visual Basic.
