Application Engineer – C++ build systems & Tools (Linux)

This is your role. What part will you play?

We are looking for a talent who has Proven 5+ years of experience in Linux development environments, strong knowledge in Java, and has good understanding of Java applications code quality, tools used to build and track code quality (JaCoCo). implemented good unit and integration test strategies and experienced in configuration management of applications using C++/java specific build systems.

Main tasks:

  • Understand the existing applications, its configuration and build strategies.
  • Understand the coverage tools existing in the system
  • Implement techniques to enable code quality metrics, coverage data generation for various components of existing application
  • Collect coverage data from various components, and seamlessly present the aggregated reports
  • Build the reports that enables quick and context sensitive feedback on individual modules or component level code smells

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds Required Skills:

  • Proven 5+ years of experience in software development of larger software products
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in Linux development environments
  • Should have minimum 3 years of hands-on programming experience in Java.
  • Good Knowledge in eclipse IDE, developed add-ons/ plugins on eclipse Platform.
  • Prior experience in java-based build systems and coverage tools like JaCoCo and UI automation tools like QF-Test.
  • Good knowledge in application build tools like Bazel, Jenkins etc.
  • Good knowledge on repository management tools like Git, Bit Bucket, etc.
  • Excellent debugging skills/strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to take over the implementation tasks from development teams (bug fixing, fixing the issues reported by coverage tools etc.)
  • Experienced in working in an Agile environment
  • Prototype, create POCs of possible solutions for complex problems whenever required.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of analytics & monitoring solutions like Grafana
  • Knowledge of 93K Semiconductor test platforms
  • Good know-how of agile management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps.
