Website Agile Analog

Agile Analog is revolutionising the way Analog circuits are designed. Based in Cambridge but with the ability to work flexibly, we are growing quickly to become one of the world’s leading semiconductor IP companies. Using our innovative core technology, we are able to design circuits faster, to a higher quality, and on any silicon process.

We are disrupting methodologies that have been unchanged for generations and if you have that similar mindset with the desire to make an impact then play apart in our story

The primary focus will be Analog circuits across a variety of applications and technologies encompassing Data Converters, Clocking Circuits, Power Management and also Analog Sensor Interfaces and working as part of a growing team developing solutions

You will be joining a highly experienced, proficient design team and will need to be a solid team player with a practical understanding of the IC design flow as well as having proven experience of taking designs from concept to mass production. These roles would suit someone who has both a systematic approachto circuit design and an innovative approach to problem solving.

What you will be doing

  • Design, definition and implementation of analog blocks and circuits
  • Working as part of team developing Blocks/Macros, considering design, customer and business requirements to meet the specification
  • Investigation and decisions for architectural needs and options in analog circuits
  • Layout of analog circuits, either through direct activities or support to layout engineers
  • Analog Cell/Macro/System Specification, Design, Layout and Physical Verification
  • Behavioural modelling for circuits and circuit architectures
  • Support silicon validation and debugging
  • Support and practice top-down design planning and implementation

  • A systematic, hands-on approach to circuit design
  • BS/MSEE in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in design of one or more of the following areas
  • Clock Generation
    • PLL, VCO, XTAL
    • Clock and Data Recovery Circuits.
  • Data Converters
    • ADC and/or DAC, for Sigma Delta or Nyquist Rate from Audio to GS/s
  • Power Management
    • LDOs and/or SMPS
  • Analog Sensor Interfaces
    • Instrumentation
    • Low Noise
  • Experience in behavioural circuit modelling
  • Experience in all stages from Circuit and System Specification, into simulation, verification all the way to qualification
  • Good communication skills in English

Even better if you have:

  • Macro-level experience: integration, verification and tape-out
  • Programming experience: Python, C, linux, verilogA, verilogAMS, system verilog, C Matlab,
  • Packaging knowledge (CSP, BGA, etc.)
  • CMOS RF circuit design experience
  • CMOS process & design flow (CAD/PDK) knowledgeKnowledge of Cadence design tools and environment and also Mentor Calibre verification suite

  • A friendly, supportive and inclusive working environment
  • Professional development, technical and leadership
  • Flexible work hours to fit around your personal commitment
    • We consider individual requirements to work remotely
    • Home set up assistance provided
  • 25 days annual leave with the option to purchase additional days
  • Company share options
  • Professional society membership
  • Private health insurance (including optical and dental cover)
  • Company pension scheme (with a salary sacrifice option) “company matches to 8%
  • Life Assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme – free wellbeing and health services
  • Cycle-to-work scheme

If the above role matches your experience, skills and motivations then we would love to hear from you. Please submit your cv and we can chat about our exciting plans.
