Position Summary:

Perforce Software is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead a team through a period of rapid growth and international expansion. Specific areas of responsibility will include monthly close process, maintaining the general ledger system, integrating domestic and international acquisitions, and other general accounting functions.  This position will work closely with the Controller and the Vice President of Accounting & Compliance, as well as other senior management to meet department and company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team and encourage an attitude of continuous improvement in their day-to-day activities.
  • Lead the monthly close process and prepare financial statements that meet US GAAP, international statutory, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Maintain the company’s accounting system and its interactions with other financial and operational systems such as Salesforce, Boomi, Adaptive, and Concur.
  • Ensure account reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop, implement, and document appropriate control procedures
  • Represent the accounting function in acquisition related activities including accounting due diligence and subsequent integration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience managing a team and developing staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Operational experience with a major accounting system (ex: NetSuite, Intacct, Oracle, SAP etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and have the ability to interpret and implement new accounting guidance in an increasingly complex business environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in compiling financial statements for an international company and experience in consolidating foreign and US entities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can work effectively with people outside of the accounting function.
  • Experience in documenting and improving existing systems and processes.
  • Must have a proactive, positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Ability to act as a change agent and have experience in improving processes.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with other departments throughout the company.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Possess a strong initiative to search for and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
