This could turn copyright law into an anti competition weapon to stifle competition and innovation. There should be a nation/world wide right to repair law. This issue has many sides and should make for some interesting discussion. It will also be interesting to see variations of copyright law and the many permeations that could create a legal morass of unprecedented scale. As the world gets more complicated and software permeates everything these issues will shape the physical, financial and virtual world in ways we haven't even imagined yet. This will touch every facet of the high tech industry from initial concept to when the consumer throws the product away.
