Overview
With the increase in AI, GPU, and other high-speed devices the need for coaxial sockets to test these devices has increased significantly across the industry. The need to measure the goodness of these coaxial sockets has also become ever so important. Conventional methods of socket testing have proven to be inadequate due to the nature of the coaxial socket design structure. Not only do we need to measure the CRES of the contacts we also need the ability to measure the effectiveness of the coaxial structures such as signal and power pin isolation from the VSS shielding block and the VSS pin to the shielding block performance which all contribute to the coaxial sockets ability to shield high speed signals from insertion/return losses as well as crosstalk.
What Attendees will learn
· CRES Best Practice for Signal, Power, and Ground pins.
· Signal and Power pin to shielding block shorts detection
· Ground pin contact to shielding block percentage
Who should attend
Socket development engineers, Production maintenance engineers, Product yield engineers, Quality Engineers of any socket company or customer of any socket company utilizing coaxial sockets for testing.
