Summary / Role Purpose
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy supporting our acoustics and electronics reliability products. Partnering with product management and sales, you will be responsible for creating marketing plans that bring together key industry and technology trends with our go-to-market priorities to help achieve our business objectives.
Leveraging your subject-matter expertise, you will create persuasive product messaging and positioning, build compelling sales tools, and develop whitepapers, infographics, interactive websites, customer testimonials, and other forms of rich content to support our sales teams and demand-generation efforts. You will also contribute to our blog and social channels with content that drives engagement while demonstrating thought and technology leadership.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with key stakeholders in product management, development, field marketing, and sales to translate business priorities and go-to-market strategy into comprehensive marketing plans
- Deliver compelling customer-facing messaging and positioning that resonates with existing customers and prospects
- Create engaging audience-specific thought-leadership marketing content, including case studies, application briefs, presentations, whitepapers, and sales playbooks
- Build customer awareness of new capabilities and benefits included in product updates as part of the semi-annual release cycle
- Drive execution of product promotion through virtual events, social media, third-party websites, blogs, and other digital mediums to engage with target audiences
- Partner with corporate, industry, and field marketing teams to develop and execute campaigns that drive new business as well as up-sell/cross-sell opportunities
- Deliver sales-focused training for the global field and channel partner marketing and sales teams in partnership with the sales enablement team
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand competitor product features, positioning, and messaging
- Measure and report the ROI of product marketing tactics through regular quarterly analysis
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- BA/BS in marketing, engineering, or related discipline
- 4+ years product marketing, sales, or similar experience in B2B software industry
- Demonstrated experience in competencies essential to a product marketing role (positioning, product launch, social, content development, etc.)
- Ability to manage complex projects and execute global product marketing plans
- Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed organization
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate or advanced degree in a related engineering field
- Hands-on experience using simulation software (FEA, CFD, etc.)
- History of marketing or selling into automotive, aerospace, high-tech, or consumer goods industries
- Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships in a large, functionally organized business
