Purchasing Coordinator
Our Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for receiving, reviewing, coordinating all in house purchase orders for delivery confirmation, expediting activity with suppliers and communicating with our customers on shipping updates. Coordinator establishes and maintains relationships with both customers and suppliers, ensuring that any and all problems are addressed, all three parties (customer, supplier, and Spirit) are working together smoothly, and that delivery and quality metrics are being met. This position is familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to manage the backlog from all aspects from submission to winning and then managing ordering and delivery schedule of all purchase orders and product. This is a full-time position and requires you to be on site in Phoenix AZ. Advanced Excel skills mandatory.
Essential Job Functions:
Expediting orders with suppliers to meet customer contractual dates
Communicating delivery information to customers and updating customer portals weekly
Monitoring purchase orders due dates and confirming with suppliers that orders are scheduled
Running monthly purchasing reports for supplier and account representatives
Updating JD Edwards with order acknowledgements and shipping details and non conformances.

Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Motivated self starter, attention to detail
Keyboarding 50 wpm
Strong interpersonal skills, including good written/verbal communication
Multi-tasking in fast-paced environment
Attendance/punctuality
Distribution or industry experience preferred
