Position Summary:

Perforce Software is searching for a creative, data-driven, and team-oriented Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing group supporting our Puppet Software Business line. This role will be a key position with opportunities for growth as we continue to scale the organization.

As our Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you would be instrumental in helping craft key components to support our product launches and go-to-market efforts, including product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement with the objective of creating demand and continued customer affinity for our products. Having a pulse on the “voice of the customer”, and deeply understanding the customer journey while tracking market trends that could impact those customers. The ability to dive in and learn about our products, the problems they help solve, and the market will be key to being successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager will become an expert on our Puppet products and features to raise awareness in the market with key segments, helping drive engagement with prospects and educate customers about the value and benefits of our products.

  • Engage and develop trusting relationships with functional groups across the Perforce organization including Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to gain customer feedback and problems
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop value propositions, drive sales enablement and education, and execution of campaigns
  • Research and create differentiated messaging to address buyer personas and verticals
  • In conjunction with the Product Team, manage and plan product launches with clear objectives and defined metrics for success
  • In partnership with our Product, Subject Matter Experts, and SE team, drive ongoing Sales Enablement sessions to educate stakeholders on product features and benefits
  • Create sales collateral and tools that align with the buying process and help move prospects and customers forward through the sales funnel
  • Develop engaging and educational product marketing campaigns (e.g., case studies, sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, e-guides) that articulate the benefits of our products
  • Work with internal stakeholders to deliver and coordinate joint GTM activities
  • Understand the competitive landscape and market/industry trends to create a differentiated value proposition and messaging that resonates and drives action
  • Conduct regular market analysis to maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape and help establish product differentiators
  • Collaborates with others to develop insights from market or user research, competitive analyses, and market and industry trends to drive the Go-to-Market strategies
  • Support building and executing marketing plans and strategies to achieve marketing KPI’s and revenue goals.
  • Collaborating with demand generation, field marketing, and customers teams to deliver high-response campaigns

  • Knowledge or direct experience with Puppet technologies is a plus

  • Project planning and time management

  •  Build relationships with functional groups within Perforce, including corporate communications, demand generation, product management, engineering, sales, customer success, services and IT
