Security Software Engineer
The Black Duck Binary Analysis (BDBA) tool is part of the Synopsys Application Security portfolio. This exciting technology is gaining traction fast and we are in the forefront of this development here in Oulu, Finland.

The BDBA team is looking for a skilled front end designer for a permanent position.

What we develop is a web service capable of analyzing a broad spectrum of binary formats, including firmware, containers, desktop and mobile applications and many more. BDBA tool allows organizations to generate and maintain a comprehensive software Bill of Materials (BOM) for their software and systems from provided source and binary packages. BDBA tool also enables the tracking and monitoring of vulnerabilities affecting third-party components, information leakage, and to manage open source license compliance.

You will work in the BDBA R&D team with skilled peers and a wide range of international customers and colleagues. You will contribute to BDBA tool development mainly in front end area. Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge or willingness to learn software security domain
  • Experience of virtualization environments and web services
  • Knowledge of modern JS-framework like Vue or Ember
  • Experience in working with web applications and web API’s
  • You are familiar with CSS, HTML, Linux, Postgres
  • Experience with the Python programming language
  • Skills with the cloud services like AWS or GCP
  • Experience with user-friendly designs and usability
  • Open minded, self-driven and result oriented
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communications skills
