Duration: 6 months, end-of-study project

We are seeking a motivated and talented intern with a solid background in electrical engineering or microelectronics to join our dynamic R&D team in Grenoble, based at the CEA premises.

Job Description

This internship provides a unique opportunity to:

  • Tackle complex design challenges
  • Gain hands-on experience across the full development lifecycle of an industrial memory product
  • Directly contribute to improving read performance in high-capacity RRAM memory systems
  • Get a comprehensive understanding of the architecture of RRAM memory circuit and of the physical principles driving RRAM operation and thus contribute to major breakthroughs at the intersection of device physics and cutting-edge design engineering

You will work in an international, collaborative environment supported by state-of-the-art resources, tools and expertise.

As part of our R&D team, your main tasks will include:

  • Designing innovative circuits (digital and analog) to enhance read speed and accuracy
  • Running SPICE simulations to evaluate and optimize the performance of RRAM memory circuits
  • Collaborating closely with an international team of device and layout engineers
  • Documenting your conclusions through detailed technical reports and presentations
  • Actively participating in technical discussions and decision-making processes for performance optimization
  • Committing to delivering reliable, high-quality results in all aspects of the design

Required Skills and Experience

We are looking for candidates passionate about semiconductors and eager to tackle technological challenges. You should demonstrate:

  • A degree (or current studies) in Electrical EngineeringMicroelectronics, or a related field, for an end-of-study project
  • Familiarity with SPICE simulation tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsis, Mentor, etc.) and circuit design software is preferred
  • A good understanding of statistical analysis techniques and electronic circuit fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Autonomy in task execution and the ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Good English written and spoken required
