The Head of Global Communications and Brand Marketing will lead Arteris’ strategic efforts with focus on designing, making, activating, and amplifying the Arteris brand and increase global actionable reach across prospects, customers, partners, media, analysts, influencers, and investors. This is a highly visible leadership position, and the successful candidate will be equally comfortable driving near term results as scaling the people, processes, and systems for the future in a dynamic, global hyper growth environment.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, your will develop and execute our worldwide communications strategy including brand, PR and media relations, integrated marketing, multi-persona reach via technical and executive content, executive and internal communications, thought leadership and partner joint marketing programs. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team to elevate and amplify the brand, and help translate into campaigns to raise awareness, increase engagement, accelerate business wins, and amplify customer delight. You have exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills, and will apply those along with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and a passion for rallying people around a single unified plan to accelerate Arteris growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve the brand and its reach, as we expand reach across additional vertical markets, expanded product portfolio, and expanded ecosystem programs.
  • Own and drive global communications, across technical and business media, building and delivering a global communications plan that drives long-term company awareness and perception while addressing near term opportunities systematically.
  • Define and articulately a comms vision, design a strategy, align the organization on the achievement of goals/priorities, and drive execution to reach and exceed KPIs.
  • Shape communications strategies to address needs and tactics across the Buyer’s Journey with focus on connecting awareness and owned thought leadership content to mid-funnel, as well as leveraging customer success to create new opportunities.
  • Define, manage, and execute on the editorial calendar for targeted global audiences.
  • Write and develop compelling content that helps strangers, prospects, and existing customers understand how we can address their problems with our solutions, including but not limited to articles, presentations, blogs, bylines, press, briefing documents, newsletter copy, data sheets, white papers, customer case studies, etc.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, Solution & Business Development, and Strategic Marketing to ensure right in-house and third-party content is being curated and leveraged effectively in an omnichannel global setting.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing to effectively grow organic reach, impressions, engagement, and content A/B refinement across all digital channels, localization, and personalization, delivering high online and social media actionable engagement.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations and Analytics to ensure KPIs are defined and are being tracked, reported on, and translated into adjustments to further improve ROI.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to create global events plans with solid ROI to help raise awareness and execute accordingly to accelerate growth.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership team to ensure brand & corporate messaging is being carried through in their communications, including plans to take advantage of key company milestones, keynotes, presentation decks, press releases, etc.
  • Partners with HR, Finance, IT and Legal to effectively execute on cross-functional programs including recruiting, employee comms, university program, and others.
  • Build and manage a small global team of communications and brand experts, along with agencies and contractors, defining the vision and growth plan to expand the team and programs as we scale the function with the company growth.
  • Ensure operational excellence and team alignment by leveraging processes and frameworks that drive results, effective decision making and clear accountability.

Experience Requirements / Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or English literature is preferred, though business and technical degrees with appropriate excellent writing and communication skills area also a great fit. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in executive, corporate, and technical communications, including public relations and marketing communications in a public company.
  • Excellent communication skills, from high-level abstraction to copy-editing.
  • Understand how to leverage various channels to generate a groundswell of positive awareness and perception via exceptional communications and storytelling skills.
  • A strong grasp of grammar, initiative-taking writing, language, and powerful writing.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of resources that span the breadth of the communications mix – web, email, newsletters, events, and internal tools.
  • Experience framing messaging to resonate both with target technical personas, executives, as well as non-technical audiences such as investors and shareholders.
  • Experience building effective campaigns and programs with KPIs and clear impact.
  • Collaborator, able to produce and curate content from engineers to executives, leveraging strong communications and people skills to work across departments.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment, traversing between leading, influencing, and being hands-on to get the job done with agility and quality.
  • Operational excellence, with impeccable program & project management skills, events planning & execution, and global team leadership & development experience.

Ideal Candidate Will Also Have:

  • 5+ years as editor and writer in silicon IP, EDA, Semiconductor or Electronics, with technical & business media public relations experience and IR exposure.
  • Experience collaborating directly with senior executives and other leaders.
  • Passion for technology, or the proven ability to grow technically, while being able to distill the complex into simple and compelling key messages and stories
  • A ‘CEO mentality’ with strong accountability, able to work across the company.
  • A sense of humor, so we can all have fun as we accelerate the company’s growth.
