Group Dir, Applications Engineering

This is an exciting opportunity to drive a high-performing applications engineering team that drives the adoption of our industry-leading tools and flows used in chip design. The Director of Application Engineering will play a critical role in our Field Organization enabling the success of our customers designing advanced chips on leading-edge process technologies. You will steer a team that is enabling some of our top customers with a portfolio of advanced tools and flows to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions in both a pre-sale and post-sale capacity. You will work closely with customers and multiple internal groups including R&D, product engineering, program management, and sales teams to drive alignment, define initiatives, and deliver growth through customer success.

• A self-directed and energetic team leader with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Direct knowledge of the chip design process, including customer needs, and challenges
• Ability to interact with and influence a wide variety of customers and functional groups, including engineering, marketing, and sales
• Proven ability to lead and manage at senior levels with or without direct authority
• Ability to persuade key decision-makers and manage strategic communication
• Influential leader, interacting internally and externally with executive-level management
• Networker with key contacts outside own area of expertise
• MSEE or equivalent required with minimum of 15+ years of relevant semiconductor or EDA industry experience
