Electrical Cabinet Project Manager

Position Overview:
Serves as cabinet subject matter expert within the Machine Tool segment in approaching and serving current and potential customers. Coordinates with account management, panel builders and customers to develop and deploy value added cabinet solutions. Manages the day-to-day cabinet business responsibilities regarding order maintenance, purchasing, vendor management, light technical activities and invoicing.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with internal and external teams to provide commercial and technical recommendations
- Supports pre and post quotation and sales process for cabinet builds
- Collects requirements and verifies scope from customer (prints, BOM, delivery specifications, etc.)
- Requests quote from cabinet builder for 3rd party material and labor
- Verifies validity of Siemens materials and suggest replacements for obsolete products
- Reads and edits electrical drawings and make suggested improvements
- Crosses product replacements for high price 3rd party material for current and future quotes)
- Negotiates best pricing (labor, material) with suppliers to meet customers and Siemens expectations
- Creates and sets up SAP material numbers for sales and purchase order entry
- Generates submittal of quotations to customers
- Enters sales order and procures Siemens materials for cabinet builds
- Drives ECN management
- Master Schedules various work centers in creating a level load plan to minimize component shortages and maximize efficiencies
- Possesses ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Possesses “Big Picture” Operations knowledge

- Works with OEM Account teams, 3rd party cabinet partners, and intra-organizational contacts

- Focuses on execution by leveraging networking and by fostering collaboration with external and internal stake holders
Desired Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
- Project management certification – PMP
- Required industry experience within electrical cabinet design and build (5 years)
- Strong knowledge of SAP sales and distribution and materials management modules
- Required technical experience – Read and interpret customer drawings
- Evaluate drawings and make Siemens conversion recommendations
- Cross reference competitor electrical components
- Ability to sell the customer on the advantages of converting competitor cabinet builds to Siemens
- Experience with Siemens SAP, MS Office, PMD, CRM, Tableau, and other related industry tools
- Business knowledge and acumen in the areas of sales and finance with ability to resolve issues faced and contribute to problem resolution of those issues.
- Independent thinking: Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices
