•    Install, customize, and support foundry PDKs for CMOS and SiGe processes.
•    Install and support the CAD environment for the IC Design team, based on vendor tools and technology PDKs, for custom IC layout, verification, and simulation.
•    Work with the design team members to develop, enhance and debug tools and design flows, both vendor supplied and custom tools and methods developed locally.
•    This can be an applicant’s new invention, but is frequently originally developed by a team member, and can be streamlined for wider use by the team, or the task is a commercial tool customization to overcome with limited standard PDK support.
•    Execute and support layout efforts including tapeout and archive processes
•    Manage the distributed compute and tools environment

•    Proven experience in Cadence Virtuoso, ADE
•    Skilled in Mentor Calibre and Synopsis Star-RCX
•    Cadence SKILL programming ability
•    Experience supporting or performing mixed-signal/analog circuit design and layout.
•    Effective programming skills in languages like: Perl, Python, and Unix Shell.
•    Demonstrated experience modifying tools and flows to adapt them to improve layout efficiency and/or circuit simulation outcomes.
•    Proven ability to collaborate with remote team members.
•    BSEE and 5 years experience, or equivalent.
