Will AI/ML Data Centers Evolve to Research and Specialty Production Centers?

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member
With AI/ML advancing at an ever-accelerating rate and tremendous cost, would it not make sense to combine them with automated research labs in many fields and specialty production using sophisticated production techniques? Combining these functions would eliminate the latency challenges presented by separate functions. Will not hospitals and processes with key functions have to have their own AI/ML computing power to avoid latency and other challenges? Avoiding duplication of resources and latency challenges should be a serious consideration in many areas. Any thoughts or comments appreciated. Also having these located by universities would give them the ability to offer up to date, real world training.
