What memory maker/technology will rule AI/ML

With new approaches to memory and how it interfaces with AI/ML what technologies and companies will lead? Are there any breakthroughs ahead in this area coming? Will memory have to advance as fast as processing and become more tightly integrated as AI advances. Any thoughts or comments appreciated. It seems that memory will have to advance as fast as processing since the two are linked?
