Like Microsoft dominates operating systems, what companies are set to dominate AI/ML platforms that will be far more transitional to advancements in just about everything from research to medical and touch just about everything? Will Apple and Microsoft be the dominant players as they are now? Will the US be the leader or will another country become a serious challenger? Or will AI/ML fracture into numerous structures and applications? Will one company develop a foundation platform that others will build on like the Microsoft, Apple and android programs? Thanks.
Both Apple and Microsoft have significant resources and expertise in technology, but their approach to AI/ML has been different. Microsoft, for instance, has a strong presence in cloud computing and developer tools, making it a contender to offer comprehensive AI/ML platforms. Apple, on the other hand, has focused more on AI/ML integration into its devices and services, such as Siri and Core ML.
