Today on CNBC the Walmart CFO on automating their supply chain that cut their expenses by 30%. This is just of tip of changes that the semi sector in everything from ordering to physically handling the goods show the beginning of a trend to used advanced semis to expand what automation can do. If Walmart is having results like that, all others will have to follow in just about all markets from the top end to the discount end for any business that doesn't will be buried by the competition, so there is no choice. We are about to enter the age of automation of everything that will only speed up as the costs of automating come down and the payoff even greater. Follow the money, for that tells the truth.
This is unstoppable. Automation vs the use of human labor, one upfront capex cost and r&d cost but can quickly scaled up thereby lowering the cost, the other variable cost (union, minimum salary, healthcare plan, etc).
