TSMC is deeply committed to workplace safety in the operation of all our facilities, along with each of our active construction projects, including TSMC Arizona. We are happy to announce our recent partnership with the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) and Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs to continue to provide a safe and healthful work environment for our construction worker employees through Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) and Apprenticeship Program. The goal of the agreement is to provide a safe work environment for construction trade. In addition to our regular safety measures, the safety-focused education and training led by ADOSH will benefit all our site workers.

Our safety record already outperforms national averages, with a recordable safety incident rate nearly 80% lower and a lost-time incident rate nearly 96% lower. This achievement is not just a statistic; it represents the collective efforts of our dedicated employees, contractors, and partners to making safety the cornerstone of our operations as we build this fab.

“Our commitment to safety is not just a statement; it is ingrained in the very fabric of our culture," said Brian Harrison, President of TSMC Arizona. “This is one of the largest active construction projects in the country, and with this partnership agreement, we have taken further action to ensure that every individual who steps foot on our Phoenix site understands the high priority we place on creating the safest possible workplace.”

“It is great to see the Governor take the lead and work with ADOSH and The Industrial Commission to address worker safety in Arizona," said Bill Ruiz, Political Representative for the Arizona Carpenters Union. "The Governor along with community partners such as TSMC are demonstrating a strong commitment to training with credentialed tradesmen to create an expectation of excellence and safety within the industry.”
