View attachment 13244Toshiba has announced the new TMPM036WRG microcontroller, adding to the TX00 series of microcontrollers based on the ARM Cortex-M0 core. Clocked at up to 20 MHz with 128 KB of on-chip flash, the new family expands 16-bit timer channels from 10 to 14, and adds two SIO/UART channels for a total of six to complement two I2C channels. These changes support functions such as motor control in printers.

Additional peripherals include eight channels of 10-bit A/D. The TMPM036WRG is packaged in a 100-pin LQFP measuring 14x14mm. Sampling begins in March 2015 at a price of 400 yen.
