The smart phone isn't so much a phone any more, but the foundation of our digital future. The next step is a long ways off and that will be wearable bionics that interface directly with our body. Even here the smart phone may be the foundation where we carry it, but never touch it and interface is by Bluetooth or eye tracking on a virtual screen.
