Perovskite to allow Terahertz Data Transfer

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member
A method has been developed that's cost effective using Perovskite and low cost halogen light sources to achieve terahertz speeds in data transfer. The real question is how long will time to market be and if any glitches are found along the way. Any thoughts or comments appreciated. Will this become a true game changer to the point of becoming revolutionary in semis and communications?

That's really interesting research Arthur, thanks. Terehertz modulators and comms technology will be needed, and will arrive. I doubt it's possible to predict which type (electrical, mechanical, optical) will end up the winner at this point. We need them all to be explored I expect.
