We are in the process of starting an ASIC project on TSMC 28 nm node. I need inputs on some of the logistics associated related questions ...
1) what are the libraries needed for all the phases of ASIC work including front end design, verification, physical design
2) would these come as a part of process design kit? What typically is present in PDK's by the way?
3) is technology design kit different from PDK?
4) who would sell these kits? would it be normally the foundry or ecosystem partners like Artisan?
5) would the PDK typically contain basic hard macros like pll, IO pads or these need to be purchased separately?
6) where would memory compiler come from?
