Mobileye may not be an acquisition target for Google

It's always interesting to watch what the analysts think, not so much that I believe they always have a good grip on reality (I don't) but more because (at least sometimes) they do interesting research. Mobileye is the leader in the ADAS space (65% market share) but hit an air-pocket recently, fueling speculation they may be an attractive acquisition for Google's aggressive plans in automotive. An obvious motivation would be the patent portfolio but it turns out Google already has >3X the number of patents in this space that Mobileye has. As the analyst admits, size doesn't necessarily prove superiority, but it is an indicator.
